Job summary

Roots is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the renovation and construction of single-family and multifamily properties in greater Atlanta. You will lead on-site efforts, manage budgets, coordinate contractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to Roots’ quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years in residential construction, strong budgeting and communication skills, and the ability to balance field execution with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential construction, renovation, or property maintenance coordination.
• Understanding of home remodeling processes from scoping to scheduling and contractor management.
• Experience managing multiple active job sites simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements.
• Proficiency with project management software and Google Workspace tools.
• Ability to perform takeoffs, basic measurements, and labor/material estimates.
• Excellent communication and organization skills; able to balance field execution with accurate documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Bonus points for construction-related certifications, foreman experience, or hands-on trade background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple residential renovation projects across Greater Atlanta, managing timelines, budgets, and quality from start to finish.
• Define project scopes, estimate labor and material costs, and develop detailed project budgets.
• Create and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors from bids to scheduling and invoicing.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, quality, safety, and site security; document updates with photos.
• Ensure permits, inspections, and code compliance items are completed on time.
• Manage and validate change orders, tracking cost and schedule impacts.
• Perform regular expense audits and reconcile budgets with actual costs.
• Oversee punch lists and final walkthroughs to ensure Roots’ quality standards before turnover.
