Job summary

Cherry Health is seeking a Coordinator, Residential Care to oversee daily activities of residents in a reentry facility in Michigan. You will ensure safety, enforce policies, and support reintegration with documentation and coordination of services.

You will manage intake, daily rounds, medication oversight, and client transportation while maintaining order in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or must be completed within first week of employment.
• Associate degree in Human Services or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years of age with a clean driving record for 5 years.
• Valid MI driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Orient and intake all new residents; inform them of facility rules.
• Provide guidance and assistance to clients with questions or concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client activities and information.
• Monitor client activities on campus and in the community using headcounts and GPS tracking.
• Ensure residents sign in/out and monitor traffic of clients and visitors.
• Conduct searches of facility and belongings; perform urinalysis testing.
• Conduct perimeter checks and regular client counts throughout shifts.
• Report unusual events to supervisor; attend required staff meetings.
• Oversee medication administration and document timing.
• Perform pat searches and breathalyzer when signing in/out or as required.
• Distribute mail, meals, and transportation tickets; transport residents as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in facility and rooms; perform other duties.
