Job summary

Cherry Health in Michigan seeks a Coordinator, Residential Care to supervise day-to-day activities in a residential re-entry facility. You will provide custody, enforce rules, and ensure safety while documenting client progress and coordinating services to support reintegration.

Responsibilities include intake, guidance, incident reporting, medication oversight, searches, and transportation. A High School diploma and CPR are required; further education in human services is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required or must be completed within the first week of employment.
• Associate degree in Human Services or a Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in correctional science or adult treatment is preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years old and have a clean driving record for at least 5 years.
• Previous direct care experience in mental health, substance abuse, or residential correctional programs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Orient and intake new residents and explain facility rules.
• Provide guidance to clients with questions or concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client activities and information.
• Monitor client activities on campus and in the community using headcounts and GPS tracking.
• Ensure residents sign in/out and monitor traffic.
• Conduct searches of facility and belongings; perform urinalysis testing.
• Attend staff meetings and document incidents for supervisor review.
• Oversee medication administration and document dosing times.
• Perform pat searches and breathalyze residents as required.
• Distribute mail, meals and transportation; transport residents as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the facility and rooms.
