Job summary

Victory Programs, Inc. in Dorchester is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for a part-time weekend role. You will support residents of New Victories with direct care, supervision, and medication monitoring within a three-to-nine month program for men with substance use disorder.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays 3:30pm-11:30pm on site, helping maintain a safe, supportive milieu, document care, and coordinate with the Program Director for supervision and duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently as part of a professional team.
• Ability to engage with clients in an instructive, directive, and compassionate manner.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations across race/ethnicity, orientation, gender identity, religion, and more.
• CPR certification is required (may be obtained upon hire).
• TB screening may be obtained upon hire.
• Three professional references, at least 2 from a manager or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality direct care and maintain client confidentiality.
• Monitor and assist with clients' self-administration of medications according to policy.
• Document medication administration and count controlled medications.
• Maintain the therapeutic milieu and supervise rounds; handle front-desk duties.
• Input client data into Electronic Health Records as required.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate client groups and complete group documentation.
• Provide referrals as needed.
