Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently provide waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a residential truck, load waste, and ensure proper documentation while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, reporting vehicle issues, and complying with all regulations. Strong driving skills, a valid CDL, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds as needed are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or desired.
• CDL or CDL school certification required.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and demonstrate safe driving ability.
• Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck to collect solid waste and/or recyclables on assigned routes.
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle using proper lifting technique.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Identify and tag prohibited waste items and remove them from the cart or can.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical issues immediately.
• Follow safety policies and drive in compliance with laws and company rules.
