Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a driver to operate residential/recycling collection trucks across assigned routes. You will load waste and recyclables, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report any issues to the supervisor.

Maintain safety standards and route quality while communicating with customers and team members. The role requires a CDL or valid CDL training, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety-sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Load waste and recyclables into the truck’s rear or side.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical problems to supervisor or mechanic immediately.
• Maintain route quality standards as determined by management.
