Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet our standards for cleanliness, safety and function. You will complete work orders, conduct preventative maintenance, and assist in make-ready tasks for leasing, coordinating with vendors as needed.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal), state/local licenses as required, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications as required for technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Manages materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; cleans, paints, and performs minor repairs as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
