Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure building, grounds, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards across our properties in Seattle. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, and make-ready processes for vacant units.

You will also manage inventory, document work promptly, and assist in keeping facilities well-maintained and cost-effective. A strong safety mindset and OSHA training are essential, along with EPA refrigerant handling

Qualifications

EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications required.
OSHA safety training and adherence to safety policies as part of routine maintenance.
Experience following established policies, procedures, and code requirements.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet property standards.
Performs make-ready tasks for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors as needed.
Tracks inventory and returns unused items; notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
Documents service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
Maintains grounds and amenities, including cleaning and minor repairs as required.
Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
