Job summary

Tailwind Group in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations, ensure resident satisfaction, and protect the value of our off-campus housing portfolio. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, preventive maintenance, and strong communication with residents and staff.

This full-time position runs Monday through Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, with occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in building maintenance or student housing is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate contractors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residential sites for cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and vendors.
• Review and follow up on open work orders within guidelines.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and supervise contractors.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and lead preventive maintenance.
• Assist with recruitment and uphold company values.
