Job summary

Tailwind Group is the owner and manager of off-campus student housing in Waco. The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team, perform repairs, and partner with the Property Manager to ensure a high-functioning property at The Outpost.

The role demands customer service excellence, organizational skills and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance. This in-person, full-time position offers a weekday schedule with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in building maintenance.
• HVAC repair experience is required.
• EPA Level II certificate (or higher) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members; prioritize others and strive for their highest good.
• Maintain curb appeal by daily property walks with the maintenance team and identifying improvement areas.
• Perform general repairs in units and common areas including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, and drywall work.
• Lead maintenance efforts during turnover and make-ready, including furniture removal and coordinating staff/contractors.
• Collaborate with the Property Manager to ensure service standards, on-time work orders, and high-level property function.
