Job summary

Glenkirk seeks a Residential Program Manager to oversee operations at assigned residential sites for adults with developmental disabilities in Illinois. You will hire, train, and supervise direct support staff, ensuring program quality and regulatory compliance daily.

You will ensure safety, manage resources, and advocate for residents’ rights through individualized service plans, while coordinating with medical facilities and leadership on duty rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, related field, or equivalent coursework.
• 1+ year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (QIDP eligibility preferred).
• 2+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Valid IL driver’s license is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safeguarding individuals’ rights is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily schedules and coordinate shift coverage.
• Ensure staff follow policies, procedures, and training mandates.
• Hire and onboard direct support staff and case managers.
• Lead on-the-job and ongoing trainings for staff.
• Oversee safety, maintenance, and inventory at sites and vehicles.
• Monitor program services and SIS implementation for quality.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate medical appointments and act as liaison with facilities.
• Participate in Manager on Duty coverage on a rotating basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
