Job summary

Glenkirk is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Illinois to provide direct care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, teaching daily living skills and promoting independence. You will document IS progress, support community integration activities, and maintain safety all day.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs and medications, following curricula, and maintaining logs and records.

Qualifications

• Medication administration is required to support individuals with daily living activities.
• Experience in assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of daily living skills and routines is expected.

Responsibilities

• Participates in implementing basic care needs of individuals served, including all activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work environment following safety drills.
• Implements curriculum/activity schedules to support IS outcomes and community integration.
• Documents outcomes with daily logs, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Operates and maintains Glenkirk vehicles and completes related paperwork.
• Maintains required trainings and certifications.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
