Job summary

Hammer & NER is seeking a Program Manager to direct daily operations of a community-based residential program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will oversee medical, financial, social, and emotional needs and ensure licensing compliance.

This leadership role supervises Direct Support Professionals, collaborates with families and interdisciplinary teams, and champions Hammer & NER’s person-centered philosophy.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in social services or related field with 1 year of full-time DD/ICF-MR program experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in English; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Flexible full‑time schedule including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and personal auto; driving record meets Hammer & NER requirements.
• Must pass MN DHS background clearance.
• Must meet TB screening requirements.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with resident cares.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory oversight, guidance, and feedback to staff.
• Direct care shifts as needed and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure training and orientation per Hammer & NER practices.
• Maintain licensing readiness and compliance; assist with plans and reports.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and scheduling; oversee transportation.
• Coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams to deliver services.
• Lead program operations in line with regulations and core values.
