Job summary

The Arc of Greater Prince William / INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking a dependable Assistant Program Manager to lead a residential group home for adults with developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure quality, manage documentation, and support individuals in a person‑centered way.

Under supervision, you will monitor ISP implementation, coordinate staffing, train new employees, and assist with audits and safety concerns, while promoting independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in IDD services or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a three-year acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate an organizational vehicle and drive a bus/van.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and health screenings.
• DBHDS trainings including CPR, First Aid, AED, MAT if applicable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and use of electronic documentation systems (THERAP).

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operations of a residential group home and ensure DBHDS compliance.
• Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Professionals.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to leadership.
• Assist with staff scheduling and coverage.
• Support onboarding, training, and competency development.
• Ensure ISPs are implemented and progress is tracked.
• Review documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Report incidents and follow up; provide direct support as needed.
• Promote independence and meaningful community participation.
• Monitor medication documentation and MAT compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and report household concerns.
