Job summary

The Guild for Human Services is seeking a dedicated Maple House Manager to supervise staff, manage daily operations, and support residents with intellectual disabilities in a residential setting in Massachusetts. You will oversee staffing, finances, medical needs, and regulatory documentation, ensuring safety, quality of life, and community integration.

Responsibilities include staff hiring and scheduling, ISP/IEP implementation, medication administration per MAP, coordinating healthcare

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in special education, psychology, human services or related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • At least 1 year of residential management experience and 2 years direct support with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation to multiple residential locations in Massachusetts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • MAP certification or ability to pass MAP within first 90 days.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must undergo background record checks.
  • Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, supervise, and evaluate all staff within the assigned residence.
  • Participate in hiring, interviewing and disciplinary action processes.
  • Provide residents with an enriched quality of life and community participation.
  • Ensure residential data collection systems, logs and records are up to date.
  • Oversee upkeep of the home and day-to-day cleanliness; identify repairs.
  • Oversee expenditures for household items, supplies, and personal needs.
  • Administer and record residents’ medications in compliance with MAP.
  • Coordinate ISP/IEP objectives and related residential services.
  • Maintain communication with families, day programs, and external agencies.
