Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey seeks a Residential Program Manager to lead a dedicated team serving individuals with special needs. You will develop and implement personalized programs, oversee daily operations, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment reflecting Devereux's community commitment.

The role requires supervisory experience in behavioral health, a valid driver’s license, and a compassionate, team-based approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's in related field preferred.
• Valid, non-provisional driver's license.
• Two-week paid orientation hybrid/in-person.
• One year supervisory experience in a child/adult behavioral health care agency.
• Two years experience with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.
• Empathetic, team-based approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of individualized programs supporting social, recreational, vocational, and developmental goals.
• Oversee day-to-day residential or day program operations; ensure safe, welcoming environment.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and develop team members; manage performance, attendance, scheduling, payroll, and training compliance.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage across all shifts for consistent high-quality care.
• Supervise planning and documentation of person-centered services promoting independence and growth.
• Coordinate community outings, recreational activities and meaningful experiences.
