Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Mantua, NJ seeks a Program Manager to lead a multidisciplinary group home and oversee a dedicated care team. The role reports to the Program Director and offers a competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits.

You will plan and supervise developmental programs, manage staff, ensure shifts, coordinate outings, and engage with the community to uphold Devereux’s values. Eligible candidates may join a collaborative, servant-leadership culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in a related field preferred.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license is required.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• One year of supervisory experience in a child/adult behavioral health care agency.
• Two years experience with individuals with disabilities in a community setting preferred.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans for each individual in their care.
• Ensures program facilities are well-maintained and presents Devereux as a good neighbor.
• Oversees staff within the program, including hiring, performance, attendance, payroll accuracy and training compliance.
• Ensures shifts are adequately covered across the program.
• Supervises planning, implementation and documentation of programs meeting social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plans and participates in group outings for individuals.
• Manages shopping for home necessities and schedules transportation to appointments and activities.
