Job summary

Typical Life Corporation seeks a Residential Manager to oversee licensed residential programs for individuals with IDD. You will supervise DSPs, ensure program quality, and uphold regulatory compliance while fostering a person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, training, documentation, on-call coverage, medical coordination with the nursing director, and coordination of ISP and behavior plans.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Post Secondary Education in human services is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in the IDD field, with 2 years in management or supervisory roles is preferred.
• Willing to complete NADSP Front Line Supervisor training within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and manage DSPs and Lead DSPs, including performance reviews.
• Schedule and facilitate team and house meetings; ensure trainings are current.
• Coordinate program oversight and licensing documentation; review case notes.
• Attend and run psychiatric appointments; coordinate medical appointments.
• Manage on-call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and urgent cases.
• Ensure quality, incident management, and external communications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ISPs, protocols and behavior plans.
