Job summary

HeartShare is seeking a Residence Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities in New York. You will provide leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate program development, staffing, and fiscal management.

You will develop schedules, manage inventory and vendor relationships, and lead incident reporting and staff training while maintaining high-quality client services and community inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in a residential program.
• Five years’ experience in developmental disabilities or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residence is compliant with all regulations and organizational policies.
• Recruit, hire and train residential staff according to regulations and guidelines.
• Develop and publish community inclusion calendars and ensure meetings/appointments occur as needed.
• Manage facility operations including safety, inventory, and incident reporting.
• Oversee staff time/attendance and evaluations; ensure training and certifications are up to date.
• Monitor regulatory surveys/audits and Corrective Action plans as required.
• Respond to incidents, document investigations, and coordinate with appropriate teams.
