Job summary

Envision Unlimited in Illinois seeks a dedicated supervisor to manage the grant/program, recruit and enroll staff, plan respite activities and oversee administrative support functions. The role requires ensuring health and safety standards, on-site supervision in CILA homes, and timely OJT training with CPR and first-aid certifications.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related human service field and meet QIDP requirements, with strong leadership and compliance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited college or university in rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, special education or related human service field.
• Must meet or be able to complete the qualifications of a QIDP and be able to complete the requirements for placement on the State of Illinois Direct Support Persons Registry.

Responsibilities

• Hire and supervise CILA employees for adherence to planned schedules, programs and documented activities, monitor overtime.
• Evaluate employee performance, enforce agency policies and procedures and recommend changes in employee status.
• Provide on-site supervision at CILA homes.
• Ensure mandatory OJT training and timely re-certification (CPR, first-aid, medication administration).
• Maintain and operate assigned homes within budgetary guidelines including groceries, gasoline, link card usage and other purchases.
• Monitor health and safety practices in CILA homes, including emergency drills, medication training, staff/member ratios.
• Ensure infection control and COVID protocols followed by members, staff and visitors.
• Ensure medication staff scheduled for every shift and provide back up for medication administration.
• Maintain CILA home maintenance with Agency maintenance; complete work tickets.
• Respond to emergencies; carry Agency phone at all times.
• Monitor agency vehicle mileage logs and coordinate with transportation for maintenance.
• Develop, plan and monitor community inclusion activities for members.
• Adhere to mandated reporter/OIG protocols and cooperate with investigations.
• Document in Quantum; train staff on Quantum usage for recordkeeping.
• Ensure timely responses to emails and calls; set out-of-office notifications as needed.
• Perform semi-annual inventories of members’ personal items.
• Hold monthly member and staff meetings; maintain meeting minutes.
• Monitor accounts for rep payee members; assist with budgeting.
• Maintain pay card and track expenditures and receipts; monitor link card usage.
• Maintain annual/semi-annual Health & Safety Care Certification; keep first aid kits and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality per Illinois Mental Health Code and Confidentiality Act.
• Represent Envision Unlimited professionally at all times.

Education
