Western Exterminator in Arcata, CA, is seeking a Residential Sales Specialist to sell pest management solutions to homeowners. You will assess needs, inspect properties, and present customized pest control plans.

Responsibilities include collaborating with service teams, preparing proposals, and following up to close sales. Travel up to 100% within territory is required; a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or technical degree preferred.
• Pest Industry certifications a plus.
• 1+ years in sales or pest technician roles.
• 1–2 years in pest control sales and 2+ years in customer service is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication for customer-facing conversations and follow-ups.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel up to 100% within assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs by conducting a needs analysis and using product knowledge to recommend pest control solutions.
• Visually inspect homes and businesses for pests and entry points.
• Sell residential pest control services based on assessment findings.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Technicians to identify opportunities.
• Develop proposals to resolve pest issues and offer enhancements.
• Complete Home diagram in Sales CRM for clear customer understanding.
• Follow up on proposals to close sales opportunities.
• Provide installation knowledge to ensure quality service.
• Keep daily activity logs and sales performance in the CRM.
