Job summary

ColumbiaCare Services is seeking a Residential Peer Support Specialist to join our Brookings-based team across our Bell Cove RTH, Coos Crisis Resolution Center, and Cedar Bay programs in Brookings, Coos Bay, and North Bend, Oregon. You will meet residents at admission, provide compassionate support, help articulate personal goals, and guide them in developing recovery plans.

Qualifications

• Have personal experience with mental health challenges.
• Be certified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).

Responsibilities

• Meet residents at admission and provide compassionate support, guiding them to articulate self-determined goals.
• Conduct one-to-one conversations to build trust and recovery-oriented discussions.
• Facilitate and coordinate peer groups to discuss recovery stories and challenges.
• Participate in crisis de-escalation training and related safety procedures.
