ColumbiaCare Services is seeking a Residential Peer Support Specialist to join Bell Cove RTH, Coos Crisis Resolution Center, and Cedar Bay RTH programs in Brookings, Coos Bay, and North Bend, OR. You will meet residents at admission, provide compassionate support, and help them articulate goals while fostering connection and trust.

The role involves leading peer groups, crisis de-escalation training, and engaging with community supports.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
• Personal experience with mental health challenges.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DHS background check.

Responsibilities

• Build trust through one-to-one conversations with residents.
• Guide residents in articulating self-determined goals.
• Facilitate and coordinate peer groups to discuss recovery stories.
• Participate in crisis de-escalation training and related safety protocols.
