Job summary

Five Star Painting of Federal Way and Tacoma is seeking a motivated Residential Painting Estimator/Sales Consultant to help homeowners plan interior and exterior painting projects. This role goes beyond measuring and quoting — you'll build relationships, understand customer needs, recommend solutions, prepare accurate estimates, and guide prospects through the sales process.

Painting experience is helpful but not required; we’ll train the right person with a strong sales, estimating, or customer

Qualifications

• Sales or estimating experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional, confident, customer-focused presentation.
• Strong organization and follow-up habits.
• Self-motivated, goal-driven, detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to evaluate painting projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals.
• Educate customers on options, scope, and expectations.
• Follow a consistent sales process from appointment to signed contract.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and follow up with prospects.
• Build strong customer relationships and respond promptly to leads.
• Coordinate with production and office teams.

What You'll Do

Meet with homeowners to evaluate painting projectsPrepare accurate estimates and proposalsEducate customers on options, scope, and expectationsFollow a consistent sales process from appointment to signed contractMaintain an organized sales pipeline and follow up with prospectsBuild strong customer relationships and respond promptly to leadsWork toward individual and company sales goalsParticipate in networking, home shows, and community eventsGenerate referrals and repeat businessMaintain accurate records in company softwareCoordinate with production and office teams
