Residential Options Manager - Multiple Single-Placement Homes at Autism Delaware
Autism Delaware's adult services program, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Residential Manager to oversee multiple single-placement residential homes supporting adults with autism and related disabilities.
The Residential Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality, person-centered services while providing oversight of staff, program operations, regulatory compliance, and participant supports. This position is responsible for maintaining safe, supportive home environments that promote independence, community inclusion, and quality of life.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing direct supervision, coaching, and support to residential staff across multiple single-placement homes
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services consistent with individual support plans
- Overseeing daily operations of assigned residences, including staffing, scheduling, and coverage needs
- Monitoring participant health, safety, medical appointments, and overall well-being
- Supporting individuals with behavioral, communication, and independent living needs
- Ensuring compliance with agency policies, DDDS regulations, licensing requirements, and documentation standards
- Conducting regular home visits, quality assurance reviews, and staff performance evaluations
- Assisting with incident management, investigations, and follow-up actions as necessary
- Collaborating with families, guardians, state agencies, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
- Participating in the development and implementation of individual support plans and goals
- Monitoring household budgets, purchasing needs, and maintenance concerns
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of residential staff
- Providing on-call support and responding to emergencies as needed
- Promoting a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence in service delivery
- Working on shift and in-shift weekly.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Passionate about supporting individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Experienced in residential services, staff supervision, and program management
- Skilled in leadership, problem-solving, and communication
- Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and locations
- Knowledgeable of person-centered practices and regulatory requirements
- Flexible and available to meet the needs of a 24/7 residential program
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role in developmental disability residential services
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral, medical, or communication needs

Travel between residential locations and community sites is required.
