Job summary

Options Unlimited Inc. is seeking an Assistant Residential Manager to supervise direct care staff and support the operation of the home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in East Granby, CT.

Must be flexible with hours and on-call responsibilities. The position involves coordinating medical services, maintaining records, participating in meetings, and promoting a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience working with intellectual/developmental disabilities required.
• Prior experience with autism and behaviors preferred.
• Prior management responsibility, including staff supervision preferred.
• Use of a personal vehicle to perform assigned duties is required.
• Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration certifications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in basic office equipment and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the oversight and supervision of staff.
• Direct care staffing as needed.
• Assists with the coordination and provision of medical services.
• Promotes the development and retention of a homelike environment, including being a role model.
• Supports the oversight and direction of all planned services to residents.
• Maintenance of accurate records as they relate to the operations of the house, services provided to residents, supervision of staff.

The Assistant Residential Manager is responsible for direct care staffing and assisting the Manager in the overall running of thehome, including staffing, and associated day programs.

This home has four (3) residents - 2 men and 1 woman who have autism and behavioral episodes

Duties include:

• Assists with the oversight and supervision of staff
• Direct care staffing as needed.
• Assists with the coordination and provision of medical services
• Promotes the development and retention of a homelike environment, including being a role model
