Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation in Georgetown, Delaware seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to identify and secure permanent FHA/VA and conventional mortgage loans that best meet customers' financial needs. The role requires SAFE Act registration compliance and regulatory adherence.

You will interview applicants, analyze income and credit data, determine eligibility, market mortgage products, and cultivate new business with Realtors and builders. Travel to client homes may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher required or equivalent work experience.
• FHA/VA regulations knowledge essential.
• Strong sales and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants to collect and analyze income, assets, debts and credit data.
• Determines which mortgage products best meet customers' needs and advises on advantages of different loans.
• Markets, promotes and broadens mortgage business with Realtors, builders and developers.
• Travels to client homes or business locations as needed.
• Ensures compliance with origination procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Represents the bank in the community and conducts seminars to promote business.
