Job summary

First Federal Savings Bank in Ottawa, IL is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer to join our on-site team. The successful candidate will manage residential mortgages from application through closing, handling documentation with accuracy and meeting deadlines.

You will coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and settlement agents, prepare disclosures, review terms and funding conditions, and ensure TRID compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of hands-on residential mortgage experience.
• Experience preparing closing disclosures, packages, funding docs and coordinating closings.
• Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and construction loans.
• Knowledge of TRID disclosures, loan origination systems, and lending regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Process residential mortgage loans from application through closing; review for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review loan estimates and disclosures; coordinate with officers, underwriters and borrowers.
• Prepare, review, and issue closing disclosures in line with TRID and deadlines.
• Prepare closing docs and packages; verify terms, fees, and instructions with settlement agents.
• Coordinate mortgage loan funding activities and timely disbursement of proceeds.
• Complete loan boarding and setup in applicable systems post-closing.
• Resolve closing-related discrepancies identified in post-closing review.
• Maintain complete loan records and communicate status and deadlines promptly.
• Manage multiple files and priorities independently while meeting quality and compliance standards.
