Job summary

Bank of America is hiring a Mortgage Loan Originator in the United States (Virginia, Annandale) to originate residential mortgage loans and HELOCs. The role focuses on delivering home lending products within a financial center, balancing sales, risk, and client care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mortgage origination experience or equivalent sales experience
• Proficient in assessing client needs and communicating professionally
• Ability to interact with clients in person and over the phone while maintaining professionalism
• Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and explain policies and guidelines
• Excellent customer service and end‑to‑end client experience management
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable working with regulatory requirements
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work weekend/extended hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized service and guidance through the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings
• Build and deepen relationships with new and existing clients
• Assess client financial needs and recommend suitable loan products
• Present mortgage solutions, submit applications, and gather documentation
• Maintain ongoing client communication through calls, email and messages
• Engage in outreach and pipeline management to meet client needs
• Collaborate with leaders to coach associates on delivering exceptional client experiences
