Job summary

Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) is seeking an Associate Resident Mentor to support residents in daily routines and independence. Under the Residential Manager, you will provide direct assistance and encouragement to build skills for greater autonomy.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered. The role is full-time with benefits, including a retirement match and a flexible benefits plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; paid training provided.
• Experience in caregiving or instructional roles preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to learn and help others.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents in following their PPP goals and daily routines.
• Assists with hygiene, safety, domestic, social/recreational, and communication activities.
• Monitors medications and accompanies residents to medical appointments.
• Supports community integration and development of social skills through activities.
• Completes daily written documentation of activities and plans.
• Prepares appropriate meals for residents.
• Exhibits mature judgment and warm, respectful interactions with residents.
