City of McAllen, TX is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform unskilled manual labor in construction, repair, and maintenance of City facilities and services such as refuse collection and street cleaning. Under direct supervision, you will complete routine tasks with attention to safety and efficiency, and you will have limited contact with the public.

Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker performs unskilled manual labor involved with construction, repair, and maintenance of City facilities or servicing an operation, such as refuse collection, brush collection, street cleaning, graffiti cleaning, signs installations, and water and sewer installation and/or repair. The incumbent may be assigned a number of tasks, including reporting requirements associated with such tasks. The Maintenance Worker is under immediate supervision and has no responsibilities for reports or records, and decisions are made on a routine level. The employee has little or no contact with the public and has no supervisory responsibilities. Must abide by all safety rules and regulations.
