American Avenue is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain rental homes. You will handle turnovers, perform carpentry tasks, and travel daily within the metro to ensure safe, well-kept properties. Strong communication and on-call readiness are essential.

Ideal candidates own their tools, have a truck or van, and are familiar with building codes, EPA, and OSHA standards. This role offers growth in a fast-growing maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Residential construction/turn experience with carpentry and turns.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Own tools and have a truck or van.
• Valid driver's license; reside within reasonable proximity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Tech-savvy with handheld IOS devices.
• Familiar with building codes, EPA, OSHA regulations.
• Professional appearance and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs focused on property turns.
• Emphasis on carpentry (painting, cleaning, laying LVP, sheetrock).
• Travel daily to homes within the metro area.
• Inspect, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
• Turn homes between tenants; document conditions with handheld devices.
