Job summary

American Avenue is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain homes across the metro. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks, travel between properties, and document work orders using handheld devices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work and property turns.
• Must be advanced in plumbing and HVAC; certifications highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for resident and team interactions.
• Own tools and have a truck or van; valid driver's license.
• Familiar with building codes, EPA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain homes across the metro.
• Travel from home to home within the metro daily.
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and turnover checks.
• Handle pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and turnovers.
• Document property conditions using handheld devices (iPad/iPhone).
