Job summary

Archway Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep, safety, and comfort of our affordable-housing properties in the Denver metro area. You will handle routine and urgent maintenance, support unit turns, and contribute to preventive programs across multiple properties.

The ideal candidate aligns with our mission, is dependable and skilled in general maintenance, and provides excellent service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in residential maintenance or facilities management is preferred.
• Knowledge of major building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is expected.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Inspect units, common areas, building systems, and grounds regularly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist with HVAC filter changes, smoke detector batteries, and routine tasks.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents including cleaning and repairs.
• Ensure unit turns meet quality standards and timelines.
• Document completed work and communicate delays or issues.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and report potential issues.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and Archway safety protocols.
• Provide respectful, professional customer service to residents and staff.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with team and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
