Job summary

Archway Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily upkeep, repairs, and safety across affordable-housing properties in Colorado. You will handle routine and emergency maintenance, complete work orders, and assist with unit turns while upholding resident service standards.

The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and coordination with property management, with an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies in the Denver Metro Area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in residential maintenance, facilities management, or building operations preferred.
• Knowledge of major building systems (HVAC, boilers, electrical, plumbing, elevators, roofs, foundations).
• Experience in affordable housing or regulated environments is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Perform routine inspections of units, common areas, and systems.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist with HVAC filter changes and safety device checks.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents and ensure timely readiness.
• Support preventive maintenance programs.
• Document completed work and report issues.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Interact with residents professionally and coordinate with management.
