Job summary

MRK Partners, Inc. seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join the Greenmount & Chase community in Baltimore, MD. The role involves repairs, preventative maintenance, and timely work order completion across 60 residential units.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience, relevant certifications preferred, and the ability to work a flexible schedule with on-call duties evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience.
• One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language.
• Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Removes snow, ice and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces.
• Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule.
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays—resolving issues.
• Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work—remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas.
