Job summary

MRK Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on assigned properties. Responsibilities include restoring units, inspecting systems, and supervising contractor work to uphold quality standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of full-charge residential maintenance experience. Flex scheduling, on-call weekends/evenings/holidays, and occasional travel up to 20% are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language is required.
• Proficiency in performing plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently and as a team.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and complete preventative maintenance.
• Restore vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Oversee contractors and inspect their work to maintain high quality standards.
• Respond to work orders and complete repairs as required.
• Walk grounds and common areas to remove trash and debris daily.
• Maintain safety and adhere to OSHA standards.
