Job summary

MRK Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Greenmount & Chase community in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across 60 residential units, with on-call duties during weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions in English. OSHA knowledge and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience.
• One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English.
• Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance; conducts inspections.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Removes snow, ice, and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, and parking spaces.
• Completes janitorial requirements per schedule.
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Patrols property daily; cleans grounds, and maintains common areas.
