Job summary

MRK Partners seeks a Maintenance Technician for Amber Commons, Gaithersburg, MD. The role covers repairs, preventative maintenance, and restoring apartments to move-in condition at a 198-unit property. On-call duties include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with snow removal and grounds upkeep as part of daily tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in maintenance, and a valid driver’s license. OSHA/EPA/HVAC certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Removes snow, ice and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces.
• Completes janitorial requirements according to schedule.
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays and resolves issues.
• Patrols property daily and maintains grounds and common areas.
