Job summary

RCAP Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical integrity of the community, ensure a safe living environment, and respond to emergencies after RCAP business hours.

Responsibilities include carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep of units and common areas. The role requires high school diploma or GED, prior property maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently and on-call.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Prior experience in property maintenance is essential.
• Residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be on-call after business hours and during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance and custodial duties at assigned site(s) as requested by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, and other laws and policies.
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
• Perform basic carpentry: hanging doors, installing cabinets/counter tops, trim work.
• Handle apartment turnovers including repairs and turnover cleaning.
• Perform drywall repairs and painting prep/painting work.
• Respond to service requests and follow procedures.
• Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose problems in electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, and flooring.
• Perform janitorial tasks and grounds maintenance.
• Assist with snow removal and driving as needed.
