Job summary

Beacon Management in Troy, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our property portfolio. This on-site role includes participation in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation and opportunities for career development.

The position requires experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locks, plus a valid driver’s license and solid communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locks.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance; driving record must meet requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to develop rapport with residents and staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible. Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by; picking up the grounds, removing snow and debris, working on the landscaping and common area needs.
