Job summary

Beacon Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Reserve at Southgate in Southgate, MI. The role covers service requests, emergency maintenance, and upkeep of common areas to ensure resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locks, plus a valid driver’s license. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential for coordinating with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks.
• Current, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance – driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with residents and community staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible. Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by picking up grounds, removing snow and debris, and working on landscaping and common area needs.
