Job summary

Beacon Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Hidden Lakes in Kentwood, MI. The role involves responding to service requests, performing plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry tasks, and supporting on-call emergency maintenance coverage. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks is required.
• Strong customer service skills with residents and staff.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Handle service requests and complete make-ready repairs on schedule.
• Participate in 24-hour emergency maintenance on-call rotation.
• Maintain curb appeal and grounds as needed.
• Work on landscaping and common area needs as assigned.

Some Key Responsibilities

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible. Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24 hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by; picking up the grounds, removing snow and debris, working on the landscaping and common area needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and locks.
• Current, Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance – driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the residents and community staff.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
