Job summary

United Church Homes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance staff member to keep the Winding Hollow community in top condition. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to resident work orders, and assist with unit turnovers and painting as needed.

The role requires collaboration with the Housing Manager, on-call availability, and the use of a variety of tools to keep electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems in good working order.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year related maintenance experience preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, and carpentry.
• Must be adept with hand and power tools and yard equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required if traveling between locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community appearance: clean, repair, and inspect exterior and common areas.
• Complete work orders promptly and coordinate with Housing Manager.
• Perform basic maintenance in apartments and common spaces (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Assist with unit reconditioning and painting as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls and on-call shifts 24/7 when required.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for larger projects while adhering to budget.
