Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Waverly in Seattle to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet safety and quality standards. You will handle resident requests, repairs, and make-ready tasks while maintaining exterior areas and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress.
• Excellent communication skills: read, write and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to meet policy, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing by completing the pre-move-in processes and scheduling vendors.
• Accesses materials and tracks inventory, returning unused items and notifying supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assists in cost-cutting by fixing parts where feasible and using resources efficiently.
