Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical integrity of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing system defects, completing the make-ready process for vacant units, tracking materials, and maintaining documentation to support service requests.

The role involves upkeep of exterior spaces and cost-conscious use of parts and tools.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant certifications
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications required for service technicians

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs on property systems per policy, safety standards, and codes.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, and scheduling.
• Track inventory, obtain materials, and notify supervisor of re-ordering needs.
• Document service requests promptly and accurately for records and tracking.
• Assist in grounds, common areas, and amenities maintenance; perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools responsibly.

Education
