Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet our standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing issues, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, managing inventory, and documenting all work. You’ll follow OSHA and safety policies, support cost-control efforts, and work flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing the defect and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Performs make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Obtains materials and tools from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisors about re-order needs.
• Documents work and maintains accurate service records for requests and inspections.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and keeping facilities in good repair.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
