Job summary

Farbman Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage day-to-day upkeep of residential units and common areas in Hoover, AL. You will address work orders, perform routine inspections, and handle repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to keep a safe, functional living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school a plus.
• 2–5+ years of maintenance experience (residential or commercial).
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for work order systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of units and buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turns/make-readies).
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (on-call rotation).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
