Farbman Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs in student apartments and common areas in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role ensures a safe, functional living environment for residents.

You will perform routine inspections, respond to service requests, troubleshoot HVAC/plumbing/electrical issues, and assist with make-ready preparations for new residents. Flexibility for evenings or weekends during peak move-in/out periods is required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in apartment or building maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and use basic tools safely.

Aufgaben

• Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of apartments and buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues.
• Prepare apartments and bedrooms for new residents, including repairs, painting, and make-ready inspections.
• Assist with high-volume resident turnover during move-out/move-in periods.
• Maintain common areas, grounds, amenities, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and needed supplies.
• Communicate with the property management team about maintenance needs and apartment readiness.
• Provide courteous service while respecting residents' privacy and following entry procedures.
