Job summary

Vivmark Residential, formed through the AvalonBay Communities and Equity Residential merger, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address resident service requests, perform hands-on maintenance, and ensure market-ready apartments.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, maintain grounds and common areas, and respond to emergencies as needed, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely service for our residents.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances and HVAC when needed.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
• Computer literacy and clear written/spoken English communication.
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smartphone use may be required for certain job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work.
• Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain grounds and common areas.
• Conduct regular community inspections to identify repairs or replacements.
